Girls Gone Wild!
Girls have gone wild! Our culture has produced a whole generation of Jungle Janes – breast-baring, butt-kicking, in-your-face, my-way-or-highway female aggressors. Countering this trend is the biblical image of a beautiful godly woman. Here are “21 Points of Contrast” to help you compare and contrast the two. Download and print the powerpoint outline. Read the Scriptures. Download and complete the 21 Questions. Evaluate whether your personal behavior and ideas are in line with what God deems beautiful or more in line with what he deems beastly. (From Mary’s “Girls Gone Wild” Workshop presented at True Woman 08 in Chicago)
Are you “WILD” or “WISE”? - 21 Points of Contrast:
- Perspective
- Modesty Factor
- Femininity Factor
- Body Language
- Time & Energy Expenditure
- Pursuit
- Propriety
- Influence
- Speech Habits
- Prominence
- Disposition
- Honor
- Priorites
- Contentment
- Desire
- Morality
- Sexuality
- Values
- Edification
- Commitment
- Heart for God
I hope you enjoyed the workshop! You can order the audio of the session from the True Woman website.

Nancy, All the pages for the Girls Gone Wild handouts are included in a pdf file. I checked, and they’re all there. The powerpoint handout has 4 pages and the 21 Questions has 2. You may need to download the latest version of adobe reader in order to view them. You can do that here: http://www.adobe.com/products/acrobat/readstep2.html Hopefully that will solve the problem you’re having viewing them.

Mary, My sister and I came to the conference and cannot stop talking about it with everyone we meet. We also volunteered for the conference and did not get to sit through the entire “Girls Gone Wild” session and I cannot get the powerpoint to download to my computer. Is there anyway to get a copy of those notes? I really wanted to share them with my ladies sunday school class.

Since the material is still under development and not published yet, we can’t provide you with powerpoint files, only the pdf powerpoint handouts. You are welcome to print out the handouts and have your class follow along as they listen to the CD (available here: http://www.truewoman.com/?id=221)

Mary,
I was so interested in your books and will be ordering since I could not get any at the conference they were sold out. Thank
you for being faithful to the Lord in speaking truth and making a strong stand against, liberal feminism, 20-25 years ago I could see myself right there marching right along side with these feminist, I sang those very songs of Helen Reddy’s and smoked the virgina slims, along with that know it all attitude. But the Lord bestowed his grace on me and planted me under godly teaching for the last 13 years. I owe much of my life change to my pastors wife. Now I use my voice to lead worship and write songs of Truth, marching to a different tune the Truth of God. Keep doing what you are doing you will make a
great impact for the kingdom!

I was blessed beyond words and appreciated the godly speakers during the conference. As a professor of women’s issues, I was affirmed and validated by Mary’s work and presentation. Thank you so much. I look forward to sharing with our students. Truly, Glenda Hotton
