Just for your interest. You mention in your introduction to “Knowing God by Name” that on internet your name is called a handle. This is not true in the U.S…At least I have been on the Internet for many years and never heard it. However, many years ago, people who used CB radio to contact each other, especially truckers, always used that term. Just thought it was interesting, the difference between Canada and U.S. I am 81 and have been involved in prayer ministry and teaching for over 40 years, and plan to keep on as long as He gives me breath.
Blessings to you.

You’re my hero! I hope that I’m still going strong when I’m 81! My Dad and Mom are both over 80 and are still “on a mission”! What great examples you are!

Hello, Mary!
I wanted to stop in and say thanks for the encouraging mention here on your blog. All that was presented at TW remains at the forefront of my heart . . . must be the Spirit keeping it fresh in me, and I am so grateful.
Your message is of great interest to me, as I have been fascinated by the impact that marketing communications (which is my professional field) has on culture and society, and on women especially. In several posts on my blog I have referenced Jean Kilbourne’s workâare you familiar with her? Her book Can’t Buy My Love discusses the media’s impact on society, which is great, but I love that your message, being grounded in the Word, provides the context in which Christian women can counteract what’s been fed to us through media. Great stuff!
I’m also curious how your week of teaching went in Louisville. Sounds so exciting! Thanks again for your work and insights.
Sincerely, Erin

Thanks Erin! I appreciate the note. I’ll try to check into Jean Kilbourne if I get the chance.

Dear Mary,
And so it will be back for fall as well because we have so many women who are anxious to complete the study. In 25 years of women’s ministry I can honestly say it is one of the very best I’ve ever had the pleasure of doing!
Our Bible study group gives thanks for the amazing transformation that took place in our lives as we worked through Conversation Peace together. I had led this study some years ago and made a suggestion to our women’s ministry director that we consider Conversation Peace for our summer study. Women were so transformed by this study they could not stop talking about it.
Blessings,

Mary,
I have been teaching your bible study on Conversation Peace and I want you to know how wonderful it is. My class has doubled since we started this class. We all have learned so much from your study. You give us all hope for changing our lives and others. God Bless.
