So much of life is broken because our standards come from the world rather than from the Precepts of God’s Word.  Our young people are living in the rubble of destruction and need rescuing from the earthquake of the consequences of not building their lives on Truth.  Mary’s book Girls Gone Wise . . . in a World Gone Wild is a needed book for our times.  May it grab our attention and drive us to His Word where Mary will take us.

Mary Kassian will help you navigate the over-exposure we experience everyday to messages that call us to be anything but what God created us to be as women. Her message will make you wise to that, and hungry to be what God intended. I think this would be a great book for moms to read with their teen girls. Though Mary navigates critical world view issues and strong theology, she does it with a conversational and contemporary note in her writing voice. You’ll never realize how hard you’re thinking. It’ll be too much fun!

Girls today are growing up in a culture where “bad” has become the new “good.” The glamorization of bad behavior among young women has become the new norm and left in its wake a tremendous amount of fall-out and misery. Mary has penned a handbook for reversing the tide of the girls-gone-wild trend and replacing it with a new rank of girls-gone-wise. I can’t wait to recommend this book!

Mary Kassian speaks with rare insight, clarity, directness, and grace as she challenges the prevailing winds of our culture. She paints portraits of two contrasting kinds of women and sets forth a vision that calls women out of their dysfunction, pain, and deception, to walk in the light of God’s redeeming truth and grace.  This book is extremely important, timely, and needed—I cannot think of any category of women (or men, for that matter) who could not benefit greatly from reading it and grappling with these critical issues. A “must-read” for women who desire to honor God with their lives and to influence others to do the same.

Many women today are eager for mentors. While a book is never a substitute for a real, live mentor, this one does connect women everywhere to the wise counsel of Mary Kassian. And we should heed her winsome, culturally relevant, and biblically sound words in Girls Gone Wise. This book provides an accurate gauge of the current feminine perspective in western culture and contrasts it with the eternal wisdom found in Scripture. Easy-to-read, humble, humorous, and thoroughly sound, Girls Gone Wise is a book both long-time believers and new converts will benefit from reading. Highly recommended!

Mary Kassian has done it again. With aplomb, grace, and wisdom, she sets the right course through some of the most treacherous and dangerous issues of our day. With just the right balance of truth and understanding, Mary calls girls and young women to a bold, strong, and biblical model of true womanhood — an understanding that honors God and shows the world a counter-revolutionary model of genuine womanhood. When Mary Kassian writes a book, women can count on sound advice and biblical wisdom from a gracious friend.

Every female needs to read this book!  —Love it! Boy! Where has this book been all my life! Every girl/woman should read this book! Such valuable advice, straight from the Bible. This book is Biblically correct on how to be a godly woman in a world that definitely works hard to go against that. I did this as a Bible study with a group of preschool mommies. Everyone loved it! We all learned a great deal during the study. You don’t have to do it as a Bible study with a group, it’s a great read just by itself.

A Really Good Book! — I really liked the way that this book was written. It is divided up into relatively short chapters which makes it great to use as a devotional over the course of a few week. Although the only problem with using it in this way was that I kept on wanting to skip forward to the next chapter of the book as it was so easy to read and relate to.
As a single women in my mid twenties I found this book really useful and I am sure most of the issues covered in this book would help women in all stages of their lives.
This book has also challenged me in areas of my life that I had never before seen that I had a problem in, certainly a mark of a good book and wise author.

Great Book for teaching young women a biblical foundation on womanhood! — It is very solid and biblically based on God’s Word, which Mary Kassian always does. She articulates very well her subjects and helps us understand how important is to take a look at our lives as women and make sure we are sending out the message we really want to the world. Which is being centered on the gospel, which is centered on Christ and then his call on our lives as his beloved women.

I would recommend this book for young girls 15 and over. This because of certain issues she brings up that our somewhat sensitive which younger girls maybe lacking in maturity to deal with before that age, this according to my personal point of view.

Great Women’s Study Book! — We did this as a group study. Newly married and long time married women got things out of it. It’s not another book telling you to dress modestly, not wear makeup and be quiet. It actually looks at behaviors acceptable in today’s society and compares and contrasts them to Biblical behaviors. It was eye opening to me on things I do without a second thought and how they can be manipulating or hurting certain relationships (not just with my spouse but friends and family too).

Absolutely Awesome!! — First let me say I have not read this book. I am a 48yr old father of a 18 year old who after all the guidance, wisdom, and God’s work ended up pregnant anyway. We now have my daughter and our 4 month old granddaughter living in our home with my wife and I.

I purchase this book for my daughter after hearing about it on our local Christian radio station. I gave it to her for mother’s day and somewhat insisted she read it. To my surprise yesterday after bible study my daughter came to me, gave me a kiss on my cheek and said “Thank you for the book Dad”. From her words “It was awesome, conviction, and informative. She said people tell you not to have sex, the bad consequences of doing so but they never really tell you why or what is sex for. This book explained to her in a way she understood. She talked about the lessons she learned about how she dresses, putting herself in compromising situations with guys etc… She expressed a deep desire to use this book as a bible study topic for our church’s dance team (Which are all girls). Again she really enjoyed this book and desire to follow what she has learned.

I asked what is the minimum age she thinks this book would be good for. She said Teens and grown-ups. I asked her to be more specific, she said 12-13 and up because they are having sex and don’t understand the sin and consequences they are allowing into their lives and future.

A Real Eye-Opener — I read this book from front to back and also printed out the chapter questions from the website to go along with it. I cried many times as topics “hit home” to me in very real ways. This book is a convicting look at how our culture today has really warped the female mind to think/say/do things that are very much against God’s plan for us. Be ready to recommit your life to living for God and willing to learn to make wiser choices after reading this book. It’s an amazing read–but be aware–you will be much more accountable after completing it.

Much needed book for ALL young girls — I have been saying for all of my career (as a pediatrician) that if young girls could get a clue about the power they have inside of them, this world would be so much different. Mary had written a book to that speaks directly to young women that they do not have to believe the lies of this world that being “free and loose” is the way it is suppose to be. The way of “the world” is a delusion to a destructive lifestyle and this book does an excellent job of exposing the lies. I would recommend it youth groups, for women’s seminars, and just for mother/daughter discussions. I loved it.
